Biting Mitigation Plan

While biting can be a developmentally-appropriate occurrence, it's something we want to avoid in our daycare classrooms.

This PDF includes practical tips to stop biting from happening, a game plan for fostering positive relationships between children who bite and children who are being bitten, guidelines for responding to biting incidents, and a sample letter that can be sent to families to let them know that you are actively working to mitigate biting in the classroom.

These are all steps and tips that I have implemented with habitual biting in my own center with great, consistent success.
